System restore

I have an old Compaq with Windows 98. I recently decided to hook it up again for my grandson to use and it asked for the authenticity code which I can't find now. I have the old system restore disk but am unable to get pass the code page. Any help?

No code on a sticker on the computer? Browse the cd in another player, there might be a text file with the code.
