Problems in playback

hey guys im new to the site and seeking guidance.
i just purchesed a presonus auidobox usb interface that came with cubebase le 4. im haveing a problem during playback, its like a surge sound that happens in diffrent spots. Again only in playback , i dont hear this while rec. Iv spoken to presonus tech support 2 times which got me nowhere. the first time they sent me an optimazation sheet to go down and the 2nd time they told me to download the new driver from the site. which just made everything worse so i reinstalled the old driver again. Any thoughts or knoledge on this subject would be greatly app.
