I'm looking for a good laptop that will run most games on medium with good FPS.

http://www.amazon.com/Pavilion-DV7-2.../dp/B0029ZA5WW

That laptop was actually $912 a week ago, but now the rebate is gone. For some reason, the page on HP website has been removed, I wonder why (http://www.shopping.hp.com/product/c...V025UA%2523ABA)

I've been told to look at some xoticpc, but I couldn't find a laptop with the same price as the 2170us that had good specs including 17.3".

I actually considered ASUS K70IC-A1 with everything default but I didn't know if GeForce GT 220M 1,024MB PCI-Express GDDR2 DX10 was better performing than Radeon 4650

Anyone wanna give his or her input?

Also, if you compare the
ASUS K70IC-A1( http://www.xoticpc.com/asus-k70ica1-p-2704.html )
and the
ASUS K70IC-A2( http://www.xoticpc.com/asus-k70ica2-p-2705.html )
there is no difference, at least not that I see. So why the price difference?

The only difference between the 2 Asus models that I see is that the A2 comes with a Blu-ray drive while the A1 just has a DVD-RW drive. And no, the GT 220M is not as good as the HD4650 in the HP laptop.

As far as the the DV7 being removed from HP's site, most of the Pavilion line is being updated with the new Intel i7 processors so that may be why they took it down.
