I just got myself a Serial ATA hard disk. I have the serial data transfer cable for the drive, but I do not have the new SATA power cable. Do I need one of these or is the legacy ata power cable fine??

Thanks

If the HD has a legacy power socket, you're fine (most do not). If not, buy an adapter.

Do not hook both PS cables up at once, only one or the other.
