i've accidentially re-paritioned a 160Gb hard drive almost full of my data. naturally, none of the data shows up on it now. I'm looking for some software that i can use to recover that data, somehow. i havent been able to find anything that works well so far.

anyone know of a good program to recover data off of an accidentially partitioned drive?

thanks

Just exactly how did you accidentally partition the drive, the method and software you used will really determine whether you recover anything at all. Be more specific. and what file system are we talking here NTFS? FAT32?

I have 4 identical samsung 160Gb drives in my system, and i was going to erase and reformatt one, but accidentially mixed it up in the "disk management" console. its a 160Gb samsung disk, which used to be devided into one 20Gb partition and one 140Gb partition, both NTFS. i partitioned it with the built in windows "disk management" console...

thanks

I have actually recovered data from a formatted HDD with PC Inspector, so I know for a fact it works and works very well, however it will not recover if any Erasing programs or Data Shredding tools have been used, or if a Disk Write LLF tool has been used, but if it was accidentally formatted and not rewritten over yet, the chances of recovering are really good.
