I tried EVERYTHING!! I still have no sound!!!

After Hp reinstalled a new mothrboard on my Pavillion dv6000, and charged me hundreds of dollars, I found out that I was missing a whole bunch of drivers.

I went to the HP help, they were no help. I went to their web site, did a complete diagnostic, and installed all of the suggested drivers for the devices that had missing or outdated drivers.

Now, when I check all of the devices in "Device Manager" all say "working properly", when I play any music fle, the volume mixer vibrates, which indicates that there is sound, but it does not come out.

I have spent many useless nights trying to figure out why there is no sound.

I have all of my HP and Windows updates in order.

Any help is appreciated.

BTW, I have Vista Ultimate 32,
