When choosing speakers for a PC, what’s the most important features I should look for? What’s the best and reliable manufacture to look at when purchasing. If you know of a particular item I should consider, please don’t hesitate to recommend it. I hear 5.1 is what I should go with, but don’t know for sure.

I am trying to build a computer within the next two weeks, so any help will be welcome.

If you plan on doing a lot of gaming and movie watching 5.1 would be good. If you mostly listen to music you might as well just get a very nice 2.1 system.
What is your speaker budget? Maybe we could then recommend a couple sets of speakers. 5.1 computer speaker systems are anywhere from $40-$400+.

Also see how much space do you have to place the speakers. I want to get 5.1 speakers but I don't have a lot of space to place them.
