I just got myself 300g for <A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822144391" target="_new">$127</A>, I think it is a better deal for 20g less space.

..this is very useful and helpful place for information...

Not if you have them shipped to a state other than thier business location.
But then you are still required to report it to your state, and are responsible to pay your states tax seperately. You do do this, right?

This one was just a special - I would assume that it is an overstock and lack of demand...

Haven't heard about the 500GB drives, but that may be another reason for the special. Get rid of some of the other high capacity drives to make room for the 500GB drives...
