System Commander will let you do this. You can run a triple boot, Winme/Win98/Win95, if you want.

There's some other programs, but that's what I use.

I also used System Commander. There's one that also came with Partition Magic that can do the job. Just remember to keep your oses on different partitions or drives.

I think there's some kind of freeware program or something called Boot Magic.

Dunno if it's old, or what.

System Commander is a wonderful investment.

If you wanted to do a dual boot without any sofware, and you are using 2 drives you can:

disable drive 2 in the bios
install an OS on drive 1
disable drive 1 in the bios
install an OS on drive 2
enable them both
in the bios for boot order, choose either HD-0 or HD-1 (drives 1 and 2)

That should work just fine. :)

I tried installing it on 2 different drives, but when they
became active one would alway corrupt they other and neither
would boot. I'll try doing that with the bios. I have partition majic and it was no help.

Yes, if you install Win98 or Win95 it will remove the bootability of any other drive or partition in the computer.

I have only used Partition Magic a tiny bit, I do most of my partitioning and stuff with Part from www.ranish.com You can do something similar to the bios thing using part on one harddrive.

Make 2 Primary partitions with part
change one to "hidden fat 32"
install an OS
then hide the other and unhide the first
install your other OS

Then you can actually use the partition manager built into part to choose which one to boot from. Partition Magic can probably do the same thing, just make it so only one drive is visible while you install windows.

Bardic!

I completely forgot about doing that. I did that for about a week, and decided my 'older' hard disk was too slow and went to system commander.

It completely slipped my mind to change the boot drive in the bios.

Good call!

C@lling it like I c it...
