I just bought the WD Raptor 10k rpm 74 gb OEM hd on newegg. Because it's OEM, does it include the neccesary cables to hook it up in my system? If not, would other OEM drives i.e. dvd, floppy drives come with their cables/ribbons?

I spoke with a representative of a major drive manufacturer, they prefer you not use the word "OEM" for bare drives. The reason is that true OEM drives are those that are sold to a true OEM like Dell, not a retailer like Newegg...and those OEM drives like Dell gets have no warranty from the drive manufacturer.

So your BARE drive is just that, a BARE drive, no cables. Your MOTHERBOARD should have included cables.
