How to connect Logitech Z-5500 to laptop?

Hello!

I want to buy Logitech Z-5500 but I don't know how I can connect it to my Gateway P-7805u FX? How can I get 5.1 sound? Is it possible through HDMI? Is there some kind of connector?

I have following jacks:

Gateway P-7805u FX

Logitech Z-5500

From the looks of it, you only have Stereo output (far left) and Microphone Input (to the right of that stereo) jacks. As such, you can only get Stereo output.

Yeah, only stereo is available. I bought these speakers and I want to connect them to my PC. But I don't have sound card in it that supports 5.1. Maybe you can advise me sound card that would have nice quality and optical output. Thx!

I don't think you can even fit a soundcard in a laptop...

It sounds like a 5.1 (or better) USB Soundcard is what you need.
Never had occasion to use one myself so you may want to search for some reviews before picking one up.
