how do i put date on taskbar

is there a way i can have todays date next to the time on the task bar?

The date shows if there is room. If the taskbar is just a single row
high then there usually isn't enough room to show the date. Right click
on the taskbar and make sure that Lock the Taskbar is not checked. With
it unchecked you can then click, hold and drag the top of the taskbar up
to a height that allows enough room for the date to show with the time.
Once you have it where you want it consider locking it again so it
stays in that position.

If you resize the Taskbar (by right click unchecking the lock the
taskbar) upward the date should show.
And there are thirdparty tools also.Google is your friend.
