I have a question that should be simple for anyone who has even a cursory interest in multifunction printers.

I have fairly minimal needs and just need the printer for the occasional emergency printings, ticket/receipt printing, and the occasional articles, etc. The scanning and photocopying needs will also be helpful but never overly taxing on the machine. I should be able to use another computer to wirelessly print to it (eg. through printer sharing through a computer that is connected to the printer through direct wires, for example). My needs therefore revolve more around effectiveness and reliability (ie. it absolutely needs to work the few times that I will need it, heh)

Hence, my need for a simple, but effective printer capable of printing black and white, good scanning and good photocopying. Networking will be immensely helpful, but seeing as I can't really find a good wireless router with a print serving port I will need it to at least be able to print via printer sharing over a home network. Being cheap is a plus while bearing in mind long term costs of printer cartridges. I don't expect to be printing very many color documents (certainly no photographs) so monochrome is acceptable as well. Moreover, if all the above criteria are met I see no reason not to go for a LASER printer.

Any and all help you can supply is greatly appreciated.
