9800 PRO to X800XL ?

I currently have a 9800 PRO and can get an X800 XL on sale for 349 CDN (287 US). Is it worth the bucks to upgrade or should I wait for more advanced card to come down in price? I quess my biggest question is will I see a giant leap in performance over my 9800 Pro. Is that kind of jump worth 349 bucks.

My friend told me that the 6800 GT is going to drop around $200. I have yet to see any proof of this, tho. He read it online somewhere.
