Dear All,
I have a Sony Handycam HDR-XR550E which shows "Buffer Overflow" after 16 or more seconds in 1080i 24M mode. Switching to 'Standard definition' mode, I still get the same error but this time the message is displayed after a larger interval of time. And the video is not recorded at all I am using tripod in silence (so to get about zero vibrations in HDD) but it still show "Buffer Overflow" when "drop sensor" is turned on. But switching to "drop sensor" turned 'off', it no more shows "Buffer Overflow", but it shows "Data Error" this time. Can you please advise what may be the problem and its workaround ASAP as I am currently at outstation and want to shoot videos here?
Thanks and regards,

Hi
I also have same problem on Sony HDR CX300 for both internal or external memory card. Any idea how to solve it?
