I want a 24" screen with 1920x1200 resolution for my i7 build.

I would prefer to get it locally rather than online to save shipping costs and the possible pain of having to RMA it if necessary.

Locally, we have Best Buy, Sams Club, CostCo, Target, Walmart, Sears... If needed, I can get to Frys or Microcenter. Some have screens by Westinghouse or Sceptre etc but not brands that I have been able to find any decent reviews for. My budget is up to $300.

I missed out last weekend on a Samsung T240 for $260 from Best Buy. <sigh> The frustrating thing is that the TV version is cheaper than the monitor version on Newegg and, while Sears has the monitor version... it is $330 and not available for pickup at any local stores.

Any other ideas ?

I ended up going with the Samsung 2433BW from Sams Club... $278 and I downloaded a $30 mail in coupon from Newegg that seems to be valid.

It looks beautiful but pictures that looked good on my 1920x1200 17" laptop monitor look like crap on the 24" one ! Suddenly I can see how badly focused they are or how much noise there is in the digital image.
