New laptop for girlfriend

Hi,

I'm usually a desktop man and so know little about laptops and what to look for. Also i built my computer about 2 years ago now so i'm a little out the loop.

My girlfriend wants a new laptop and she has asked for my help as she has no clue what is good and what isnt!

Anyway here is what i want.

1_What is your budget?

£400 ish

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

She would like to be able to watch films and tv on it

3_What screen resolution do you want?

HD probably isn't important, espeicially with her budget

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

Probably only use it in the house

5_How much battery life do you need?

Not much of an issue as long as it isn't awful

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

She doesn't play games although I might mess around on it. If there is something around the budget with decent graphics card i may consider it.

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing,watching movies, Etc.)

Movies, internet, email and Office programs

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?

Not any more than average

I'm assuming my budget wouldnt stretch to HD res or a blu-ray drive...

The only difference is the HDD capacity

Well it depends on you that whether you like Refurb or not,i myself never buy refurb things,however in terms of spec it looks good
