Hi guys, first post and would appreciate some help.

I had winME installed on my pc (Athlon 1.3, 256 ddr ram, 40 meg hard drive, geforce 2 gts) and recently it refused to boot up due to missing files.

Having done a format of the C drive, removal and recreating of the partion and reformat, I struggled to install either winME or win98 and kept getting file copy errors.

After many attempts I managed to get windows to install but then during the process of installing drivers and software windows refused to boot properly - this happend again after another many attempts.

I am at a loss what the problem can be - can anyone help please ????

Neal

one thing to try: different RAM, or at least underclocking it.
