I like the idea and direction in witch this product is going. Solidstate storge is uber awsome and this looks like a cheap alternative if you have some spare ram.

I would figure that it would have ben better to use a 1x PCI-E slot that nothing else uses instead. I read that PCI-E 1x goes about 2.5gigabytes per sec. I would love to see how that fairs over the 150mbs limit of SATA.

It is also likely that information would be lost due to a long outage, battery fault, or errors. It would still be fun to play with!

I wish it had 8 RAM slots. 4 gig is just too small.

And the sign says "You got to have a membership card to get inside" Huh
So I got me a pen and paper And I made up my own little sign</pre><p></font color=red>

SATA-II should be enough dont you think?
If they can upgrade the sata controller, use a custom chip to lower long term cost...
Thats would be nice. I beleive they dont need to support higher thand DDR200 since its more than enough bandwith!

8 slots supporting 2 gigs each would be very nice. Also andandtech was talking about setting them up in RAID 0.

I am still wondering if the SATA is a bottleneck for the CPU.

Rumor has it that 2 GB modules will work in it. Rumor also has it that they are already working on the 8 slot card for a later release. If anyone is thinking of buying one you better go ahead and purchase any memory you need. I think that its on the way back up.
