OK I don't know if anyone has come accross this just yet...
On a LAN Of 3 Computers the DESKTOP XP PC is the Host
and the Desktop 98 & Laptop XP are the clients...
All Machines are connected through a Network Hub...
It All Started two days ago when I kept having strange
Blue Screens on the Laptop (which had 98 at the time)
saying that there was no Space Available on the Server -
Network Write Error- (I use one of the DESKTOP XP PC's HDD
for storage)...From the next boot onwards I could log on
to the network but I could only browse SOME web pages
through ICS (mosty simple HTML pages) but I could still
log on to the LAN...
NOTE:It might be my imagination but when all these
things started to happen I though I was hearing something
inside the Laptop whistling (???), a sound almost as clear
as when a scratched CD-ROM is read...
ANYWAY...
I decided to format the Laptop and put XP back
in...Whilst doing that I still have the same
problems...The Network IS accesible (MOST OF THE TIME) but
I still CAN'T ACCESS ALL SITES (e.g.I can't even log onto
this site !!!)... EVEN WHEN I DID GET A PROPER ICS
CONNECTION (i.e.Everything was working fine) IT STOPPED
AFTER A WHILE (When I downloaded a file through my Laptop
XP directly to the Desktop XP PC when Windows tried to
move the file I got a Network no longer accesible
message)...According to my understanting the DESKTOP XP
PC's Settings should be OK because the DESKTOP 98 PC is
working fine (File Sharing & LAN & ICS) so I suppose I
have problems with the Laptops' settings...
Anyone has any ideas? I mean there is really nothing to
be changed on the laptop except Turning Off The Firewall
on the LAN Connection...

ONE LAST THING : The Desktop 98 CAN SEE BOTH XP SYSTEMS...The Laptop XP Can Also See (& share files without a problem) the Desktop 98...
I hope someone can help me on this...

Thanx In Advance...

ALEX

UPDATE !!! : I just browsed through a question in the Microsoft WebSite that said something about Fully Qualified Web Pages (FQxx - where x x are letters I don't remember! :) ) such as www.microsoft.com or www.streamload.com. Simple HTML pages are NOT FULLY QUALIFIED (such as www.contra.gr) (at least that's what I understood :) )... To Recap :Both the Desktop XP and Desktop 98 PC can see each other and browse fine but the Laptop XP can only browse non-FULLY QUALIFIED Web sites...
