My dvd/cd drive is missing/erased

Try running this Fixit scan.

Does the drive show up in the BIOS?

I tried this, Thank you, It says no driver detected. I'm probably erased it.

Go into the device manager, right click on the drive and uninstall it, then restart. It will reinstall on restart.

I went to device manager, clicked on disk drives the only one that shows up is
WD WD3200BEVT-22ZCT0
it gives a WARNING about uninstalling this device from the system
I'm not sure about uninstalling this.
am I choosing the correct one?

You don't want disk drives, you want to look under DVD/CD ROM drives.

no what i had the same problem long time ago and i remember i had drive that did the same until i actually installed the nero disk that came with the system lol....it worked i took of nero and installed ashampoo lol

Removing Nero fixed it?
