hey everyone
I have a e6550 core 2 duo and a ga-g31mx-s2 mobo and i would like to use it for a htpc.
My question is what sort of graphic card do i use for bluray playback only(no gaming) and sound card for dts sound?
Or is it better to ditch the mobo and get one that has dts built in.If the latter, which mobo.
My stereo amp is a Yamaha and has optical input.
Is there a graphic card that is good for bluray playback and has dts sound output?
Any help would be great!!
Thanks

A quad core is much better. You want PCI 16X ATI card w/ 512 or higher RAM to get those features. Motherboards with built in video are inferior, and using a board with PCI only video is the best way to go. Think Gigabyte.
