I have W7, audacity and lame files. What do I do after I save as mp3 or wav file? I can't to get them into WMP or itunes. When you look at the file under open file, there is a lock on the file. It will only play when opening with quicktime.

Check if the MP3 setting in Audacity allows you to change the bitrate -- I think the most widely supported standard is MPEG1 at 192kbps

I'll take a look at that. I just did this whole process on a vista computer and was able to drag the file to WMP with no problems. There is no lock on the file icons likeon my W7 computer.

ok, got the lock icon off but still can't drag file to itunes or WMP on Windows 7 computer. There is an aup.data file that I can't get the lock off of. I am going to try and reinstall.
