Just upgraded from a Palm IIIc to Tungsten E and attempting to use a
wireless keyboard SO was using with a slightly older TE (may not be the
latest Palm OS).
I didn't load the GSM phone drivers when I first got the TE because I
didn't know what they were. I do use a cell phone but no text messaging but
I see in the Tungsten information that I can beam a phone number from TE to
certain kinds of phones. Getting a new cell phone which might be a GSM
(whatever that is).
I'm having trouble getting a Palm Wireless Keyboard to work. It keeps saying
"util.c.line: 742 no serial line" and since I don't know what that means,
I'm wondering if I need to go back and install those phone thingies as they
might involve IR for the keyboard, too.
The TE came with version 5.2.1. I already checked Palm support and
downloaded the latest keyboard driver and still no go.

You don't need a driver for that.

Nope, no link between the GSM drivers and your keyboard problem.

The Soft Reset is your friend! Give it a try.

Thanks. Tried that and then realized the old keyboard had been synced when
the new T3 was first sync-ed-ed. I couldn't delete the files so did a hard
reset, deleted the old keyboard from backup and loaded the new one.
