When I am trying to connect to my brothers computer who is on my same network
at our house, I can see his computer when I click on "my network places -->
view workgroup computers" and it lists his computer, but when I double click
on it it prompts me for a username and a password. We don't know what
username and password to put in here as we have tried everything. How do we
prevent the prompt from coming up?

XP is a multi-user system. To connect to any XP system, over the network,
the PC you are try to connect from must have a user accoount created on the
XP PC.
