Hi,
I'd like to be able to copy cd to cd, on the fly. In the past I've used a Plextor 40max SCSI CDROM drive and IDE Burner combo to dupe disc to disc. My SCSI Plextor drive is on its last leg so I'm wondering if I can go get a cheap Lite-on IDE DVD-ROM and burn disc to disc with each drive on its own IDE channel. However, my primary IDE channel would share an IDE Hard Drive and the IDE DVD-ROM. My IDE Burner would be connected alone to my Secondary IDE channel.
Am I asking for coasters if I go with this configuration?
If the answer is YES then would another option be to buy a SATA HD to give each CD drive its own IDE channel? I will be running this setup on a new 865PE mainboard but I'd rather not have to plunk down the cash for a SATA drive.
Thanks all,
