Of course, it had to happen after my monitor's one-year warranty ends. My HP w2408 suddenly had a dead or stuck pixel in the lower right area. Is there any way to fix this? I'm too busy to bring the unit to the shop, and I guess I can live with the flaw, but that damn pixel is offending my OC sensibilities to no end. Help please!

Hey Ton, you might this article on WikiHow useful. Basically, you wrap a pen in a damp cloth and press firmly on the screen with it. The aim is to somehow refresh the stuck pixel. rsilves is right though... if the pixel's dead, there's not that much you can do about it :(

No need to watch the video btw, the guy just reiterates what's written in depth. Hope this helps!

Changing the LCD panel is normally the only way.
But there are some other methods. Google: fix "dead pixel"
and you'll find interesting things.

Hey Ton, I tried out the solution on WikiHow before for a stuck pixel on my ASUS VW224U and it cleared things up! And yes, MomoCC's right: a dead pixel is a dead pixel :(
