Ok, i have already read a lot of post and more; but there is a lot a confusion in my (and post) mind.
Hdmi can transmit audio signal. Dvi not.
Hdmi in theory has a large bandwidth so, the signal is better (i think).
Now i want to buy a new lcd monitor for gaming and i will use it for the next 5 years.
Actualy i have ati 4870 dvi (with dvi to hdmi) but as soon as necessary, i will pass to another tecnology; i have seen that ati next generation has hdmi included.
Actually, DVI has the higher bandwidth, if you count dual link. The picture should be identical with both DVI and HDMI however, unless you need the bandwidth of dual link - the signal type is the same. I'd say there's no reason to use HDMI unless you need audio. (Note: the case when you would need the bandwidth of dual link is only if you are above 1920x1200 at 60Hz).
