why sound is generate in the onboard

for cost savings. most mb vendors pay a few dollars per sound chip per motherboard. if they went with asus or soundblaster chipset or card they have to pay someone to make the card and then a fee to soundblaster. if they did this they lose a lot of profit on the mother board.
