Window 7 + Sony Handycam + Firewire = Problem

My handycam,Sony HDR-FX1e can not be recognized by my system. Do any one has a solution to this problem please.

Install the software for your sony HDR FX1e so it will be detected by Windows 7 - make sure the software is intended for Windows 7. Check your firewire status on the device manager make sure it is installed properly. You can also visit the sony website for an updated drivers for HDR FX1e.
