I am having to try to install windows on my Dell latitude D505. i gave all of the codes listed on the computer and the person assisting me told me to look at the bottom of my laptop and I do not see the product key on the bottom. where else sould I get that from?

Hi,

I had the same issue last week,

Your laptop has been already formated ? There is still a Windows on it (even bad/not bootable) ?

Becose if you can reach SYSTEM file (c:\windows\system32\config\) and NTUSER.DAT (from first user'profile that installed Windows before)
so you can recover you CD-Key.
