Which netbook/notebook cpu is best?(budget)

Hi, I recently posted a post for a $600 netbook tyhat looked pretty sweet with a core 2 duo. But now I am having some complications with my new budget, which is 400-500. And I just need to know what cpu should I get on a netbook/notebook.
I was waalking around walmart and i saw a really nice 15 inch notebook with a athlon x 2, but it was only 1.2 ghz, and then I started to look around the internet and saw some pentium and celeron cpu notebboks and netbboks.

But my real question is the next.
Should I get the athlon x 2 1.2ghz for $378(which looks pretty nice for a budget)?
And which is the best brand( pentium, celeron , athlon, atom(yuck),etc.) for a budget that's 500-, preferably less?

P.S. Plz dont send me a link for me to rewrite this article again. It's annoying. Just answer if you can plz.
