Hi everyone, new to the group...
Hope someone might have a thought on this;
the unit I have has developed a PROBLEM, wonder of wonders, the volume goes up and down on it's owne, as if something inside is heating up and cooling down.
I have carefully cleaned and tightened all connections , vacumed out the inside. Nothing seems to help...

Any thoughts would be great.
I know a little about electronics as I do my owne work on my CB's . but nothing about stereos!!!

Thank's

i've seen it happen to other radios and i know it to be an annoyance.
but have you tried covering the remote control input sensor?

maybe your neighbors are playing a joke .. maybe something is radiating a signal and the sensor is picking up on it.

otherwise i wouldnt know what would make such a thing happen.
maybe the circuit is under attack from another circuit.
maybe the circuit is 'bleeding' and the voltage difference is causing the anomoly.

if you know a little bit about electronics.. maybe you can find the volume control board and look for voltage differences.
hey.. maybe connecting the probes adds enough resistance to stop the volume changing from happening.
and if that is the case.. i would consider adding a resistor.

i just dont know if its a circuit problem or a chip going bazerk.
could possibly be a failing PLL chip?

i dont know how the circuit works to zoom in on the project.
sorry.
