Need Help Buying a Laptop

I am looking to buy a new laptop and I haven't purchased a new computer in 8 years and I am getting confused with all of the different processors and speeds, not sure which ones are faster or newer technology. Just looking for some help.

1_What is your budget? Just looking for a good deal, like to stay below $750 if possible I

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

3_What screen resolution do you want? No preference

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Desktop replacement

5_How much battery life do you need? Not important

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? Not a Gamer

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing,watching movies, Etc.) Maybe some very light home movie editing and picture editing. other than that just surfing and watching movies and streaming video

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need? would like at least 320g
