work with mirc, i can forward ports by persistant forwading, but want
to do it by application forwarding, that way i do not need to change
the ip settings every time i reboot the computer.

May be you could set up a static ip address for your
computer and then use persistant port forwarding?

Application triggered is only for when you send data on one port &
receive a response on a different port. Some examples are FTP, SMTP, &
POP3. All three of those are already have support built into the router.

You will have to use persistent port forwarding. You could change the
lease time to 2 weeks. Also your computer will get the same IP if the
lease hasn't expired yet.
