i can get all of them brand new off crigslist between 4-500

the compaq is 400 and the other two are between 480 and 520ish

a) If they are on craigslist I 1) doubt they are new and 2) if they are new, I suspect they aren't legit

b) Compaq is a sub division of HP. They are budget systems and are of lower quality. That's not to say that they can't be good systems, they are just cheaper.

c) The difference between CPU and graphics card will depend on what you intend to do with the laptop.

^The one in the Cnet link. They are both similar systems, but the DV4 has a *slightly* better graphics card. They are both integrated cards, so neither will be all that good but the HD 4500 is better than the X3100.
