Ok........ How good is a Tyranid force ????

Tyranids are supposed to be getting a new codex soon so we'll have to wait
and see.

There's a promo copy at the local shop. They basically added some new
options and made all bugs similar to the "build your own hive fleet"
(so Tyrants, etc. start with lower stats and you buy upgrades).
There's some nasty stuff in there (ie, something allowing you to
double the number of models a bug counts as, so a Carni would count as
20), but it looks like a balanced list. If we can keep at the store
owner enough, he might just allow us to play a few games with the
rules!

Thenew tyranids are going to be one of the nastiest armies out there. We
were playing with some of the new rules yesterday during a megabattle. Wait
for the new 'nid 'dex and then decide.

On the plus side though, 'nids do come up very nicely with an inkwash /
drybrush style of painting.
