I chose this forum because it says "Graphics & Displays". I don't see anything about displays. Everything seems to be about graphic cards and their drivers. I'm going to post my problem. If someone knows a better place to post this, please let me know.

My wife has a Tom Tom GPS. She likes to keep a small bottle of petroleum jelly handy as lip gloss. The Tom Tom was in the same compartment in the car as the petroleum jelly. The jelly got hot and leaked all over the Tom Tom. Now we can't see the screen - the stuff got inside the unit. Does anyone know a good method of cleaning petroleum jelly out of an LCD display? I've disconnected everything and am soaking the screen itslef in rubbing alchohol. Hopefully, after removing the screen and allowing it to dry well, I'll be able to put back together and see the screen.

Thank you,

Joe
