I cancelled while my laptop was running recovery system. When I rebooted it, it showed 'missing files' on the black screen, and won't boot. What shall I do? I bought it 10 days ago. It is one year warranteed. It seems the system file or operation system is damaged. If I bring it back to the store, will the company will fix it for free? The brand is Asus.

Thanks.

Re-run the recovery. canceling it was a bad idea. you need to let it complete.

If you take it back to the shop they "May" fix it for free but as it's a software issue caused by you its no covered by warranty so there could be a charge

Hi :)

Precisely as said above....

If you bought it from my shops and brought it back for reloading , we would charge you 2 hours labour at £50 per hour...

So redo it yourself...

All the best Brett :)
