Dell studio xps 16 or Asus G51J-A1
Good afternoon,
Im an intermediate pc user but i dont understand much about hardware specs and i would like some help.
I want to buy a new laptop my budget is around 1300-1400 max i currently own a xps 1330, i use my laptop for gaming, internet, and in general heavy multitasking.

Just want to make sure you are aware that the laptop versions of the graphics cards do not perform as well, often not nearly as well, as the desktop versions. Unfortunately I don't know where to go to get reviews of the laptop versions. Sure wish THG would devote more time to reviewing laptops and components.

^The GTX 260M for laptops performs about the same as a 9800 GT for the desktop, so it will game pretty well.

Take a look here: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Compu [...] 849.0.html

Thank you all for your reply, i really didnt knew what to choose because the asus dont specify so good the ram specs (dell has Dual Channel DDR3 at 1333MHz ) so i dont know if thiss affects the general performance a lot or not, but i guess the asus its a better choice.

The Asus also uses DDR3, probably either 1066 or 1333mhz, so it's pretty much a non-issue. And yes, the Asus is the best choice.
