have 500 members and foodbank to run.
would like to keep track of donations, (food and money) possibly preaching online for nominal fee.
maybe even recording and broadcasting sermons on demand.
Where do I begin

I would suggest checking some of the webs big dogs. A lot of times they offer some really good deals on PC systems. I would recommend at least a 500 G HD, Windows 7 and dvd rw drive as well as 4 g ram min. Another option is to check local shops and see if they offer a discount to churches. I know I offer a decent discount on labor and no mark up on parts to church s and non- profits.
Use Open office for your office software. It offers the same ability as microsoft office, but it is free. You can even save docs, power point presentations etc with microsoft extensions.
