Loud water distiller

I have a new water distiller (Love Model III) that advertises the fan noise as "58 dB A". It is really loud and annoying, not like the white noise of a normal fan running at high speed. The retailer says this is normal for a high speed water distiller (4 hours compared to a quiet distiller that distills in 5 hours). Anyone know about this?

I am using a megahome distiller that I purchased from www.ecopurewatershop.com and it does make some noise. The noise is there but I would not consider it loud, personally. I would suggest you to find out directly from the manufacturers as retailers sometimes do not know what they are talking about.
