I'm not sure where to ask this question...but here goes

I'm planning to have a microwave a foot away from my monitor. Does anyone know if this could cause damage to computer parts? I have limited room so I'm not sure where to put it.

Thanks

I don't know. Sounds kinda risky for you...but with a tin foil hat you should be okay.

Liar! you have plenty of room! you just don't want to get off your arse to make yourself a meal! admit it! And don't give me that crap about having your freezer next to your PC as a cooling solution! Get some exercise!

Seriously though, I think most modern microwaves are shielded, but it's not worth quoting me on that. Could you store the microwave in a cupboard or somewhere as you would a toaster - only taking it out when you need it. Microwaved food isn't good for you anyway.
