Computer brand

Hello,
I'm thinking of purchasing Costco's ztAffinity AMD Phenom 11 x4 Quad-Core Processor 945 for $599.99, 1 tb, 8GB memory. I never heard of this brand. Would like opions.

  1. It should be good. All retail PCs are about the same. The specs are too good for the price. They must use cheaper components to get it down that cheap. I'd give it 2-3 years life span.

    Well, it depends on what you want it to do. It's not by any means a gaming system.

    They cut the cost, by using a low end onboard graphics. And it's only got a 350w PSU. So, if you decided you wanted to get a video card, you'll likely need to upgrade the power supply as well.

    That motherboard also uses DDR2, instead of DDR3.

    It doesn't mention the model of hard drive, but I'd be willing to bet that it's a low powered (slower) drive.
