Hello,

I tried:
1. Installed Acer Power Management Utility V6.00, It is located in program\Acer, but it can not be run from Start. Because it is not there. (I do not know how to index it and let it show in Start menu.
2. CmosPwd 5.0 does not work in Windows 7 64bit version.
3. The cmos coin battery seems located under the keyboard. It is difficult to move three latches locking it.
Could you help? I appreciate.

David Liang

Sorry David Tom's doesn't allow assistance in any kind of password situations as we cannot prove your the true owner of the device/system. Best of luck!

P.S. Might want to take your email out of your post ;) . Going to get a lot of spam that way.

Firmware passwords are not stored in volatile memory, removing the battery will not do anything

Yes you should have a edit / quick edit option on your post to remove that email.

If not ask a moderator to remove it for you.

Hi

are you asking about bios password which prevents PC startup ?
or password which prevents BIOS settings being changed or BIOS being flashed ?
or password which locks hard disk
remove hard disk allows PC to startup but you are not able to access the hard disk (even in another PC)

we can not help with any of them but Acer can advise you what to do to prove ownership of PC and unlock first two
