Err1Err3 error hp notebook pv2500

at boot of the notebook HP pv2500 i get Err1Err3. i checked the Pc=there is a problem of heating, now it's normal & getting hot a bit after a 1/2 hour is it normal ? The OS is Vista Premium' i've tried to install XP after formating the Hdisk-now i get 0x0000000b7(bluescreen) when the XP is started.

do this

load a Vista CD and go to start up repair

bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /ScanOS

if the Scan OS says 0 installations....

load a hiren's disk or any partition manager
tell it to check for errors
set the 2nd partition as active then set the OS partition to active.
Apply.

That fixed it for me

you may not need to do the vista disk part I don't know frankly I only want to see that error once.
