I am looking at getting a UltraSharp™ 2209WA 22-inch Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor but I am not sure how great it will be for gaming. From what I have read it is an incredible monitor but that response time does not look that great. Would I be better off going with something like the 22": LG Flatron L227WTG-PF which is much lower quality but has a very fast response time? My PC is pretty much just for gaming.

I'd say get the Dell. I game on an Ultrasharp 2408WFP, and it is a great panel. Besides, a response time under 10ms is fast enough - keep in mind that 1 frame takes 16ms, so all current monitors have response times well under 1 frame. The IPS panel will look amazing compared to any TN.
