Dual Channel notion

I have an Asus A8N-E (2 pairs of memory slots)
would there be any problem with running a pair of 512MB & a pair of 256MB in duial channel mode or best to just run the pair of 512's ??

Trust me I know what I'm doing... ooops, grab the cat...

You should be able to run 2x512MB + 2x256MB in dual channel.

However, because you are running 4 modules, the system may clock them down to DDR-333 for stability concerns.

In most cases, 2x512MB is a better memory setup under WinXP.
