After removing W32.Spybot.Worm
I can no longer download using http.

Any ideas bout how to turn this service back on?

Using http what? Sounds as though your system isn't really clean. In the
meantime:

Run Ad-Aware SE, Spybot, CWShredder and HijackThis:

Note: Update the first two programs, once installed, before running.
