Does anyone know where to get hold of a limited edition necron lord
with staff of light that came in the necron army box?

Your other alternative (if you haven't tried already) is...

http://www.bartertown.org

If they don't have one listed for sale, you can always post an ad in
their 'wanted' section. As always, check out the person's rating before
sending money, etc.

Hope that helps,

There is a fairly easy conversion you can do to the standard necron lord to
give him a sol. Buy yourself a set of destroyer lord arms, then carefully
cut the warsythe and arm away from the lord mini. You've then got an armless
(but not harmless, heh) lord which you can fit with sol and res orb etc...

This is of course assuming that you're just trying to achieve a wysiwyg lord
with sol and don't specifically want the limited edition mini.

I was after the mini itself, but I may have to do with the conversion
since I am not having much luck locating one for sale. I did find an
army box on sale but £125 just because I want 1 mini in it is excessive.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try that.

They do come up on eBay quite regularly, at least in the UK;

I have done as you suggested and hev converted a normal necron lord to
have a staff of light and resurection orb, it was actually really easy
and only took a few mins and looks really good.

I have found one on ebay and am bidding on it, but am not really too
bothered anymore.

Amd my thread seems to have been hijacked and wandered off topic
somewhat.

I think you'll find that I am very difficult to offend, i just fail to
see the relevance to the original topic. Maybe you should start a new
thread with the subject When is it appropriate to sodomise newsgroup
members?

Meaning?

Just because some of us don't feel the need to desend into crudity on
other people's threads does not mean that we are uptight.

I don't have a problem with content of peoples posts, they just aren't
very helpful to me.
(don't bother replying I am unsubscribing to this thread and will not be
checking it again).

Thank you to the people who have been helpful, it is much appreciated.

Obviously you don't know the regulars in RGMW too well. You should consider
it an honour to have your post degenerate into a sodomy discussion rather
then some kind of political or religious bullshit...

You mean there are times when it isn't appropriate to sodomise
newsgroup members? Damn.

Verging wildly offtopic is part and parcel of Usenet, you'll find. It's
a discussion forum, and like any discussion it can lead off in ...
